Day before play Landforms k-5 video at the end of the day to help preload information with pretest & vocabulary sheet.
Explore & Engage: View in Discovery Education
-Regions (2.39 minute video clip).
-Landforms Maps (3.25 minute video clip)
-Review (1.18 minute video clip)
Students will be set up in stations to view clips. Clips will be assigned through either google classroom or Discovery Education accounts.
2. Article: Giant Concrete Arrows Across America Passage (Students have the option to use the Listening tool to have the article read to them.) Students must come with question tickets when they arrive to teacher lead group.
3. Various library books covering landforms throughout the United States.
4. Create assigned landform with baked goods and icing. (Brownie Mountain)
5. Student & teacher created vocabulary and picture cards of landforms, (Window Organizer)
Teacher Group: Teacher will go over pre-read article with students and their question tickets. Article comes with comprehension questions to answer after completion for a graphic organizer.
Evaluation:
-Posttest can be given at the end through Google Classroom/Kahoot
-Using what they've learned they can create a news broad cast describing the landform of their choice or that was assigned.
