Provide examples of illustrations of the five regions in a variety of ways.
Show a video explaining regions.
Clarify vocabulary and symbols using globes, maps, videos, and songs.

II. Action and Expression
Have an activity where students are assigned a state and they are to assemble with their other states in their region

III. Engagement
Group of students are assigned a region.
Choose a way to present information.
*Create a PowerPoint or a Prezi or Google Slides showing the regions..
*Create a song or a poster showing regions.
*Create a brochure
*Cartoon visiting five regions.
(Whichever means of communication they have to include: where, why, why, and how)
Using maps and photographs and a variety of key texts and websites provided by teacher.
Have a rubric to help guide students in requirements of project.
Complete a self-reflection and assessment at the end of project.

1. Begin by showing a video "Regions of the US" from Flocabulary that reviews the different regions of the US.
2. Let the students explore the five regions. They can use a variety of resources to read and explore about each region. Resources include: textbook, select websites, PowerPoints, Videos.
3. Group activity mentioned in Engagement above
